A USA based company is looking for an accounting manager in Colombia

Location: online (needs to live in Colombia)
Type: Full-Time, indefinite term

Requirements:
1. Excellent English skills - job will be done in English and team members will not be speaking Spanish
2. Strong Excel skills - Pivot tables, Sumifs, and other intermediate formulas
3. Min of 5 years experience and 2 years of management experience - need to know how to manage a team
4. Experience in monthly close, inventory and transportation reviews
5. Willingness for career growth and going above minimum requirements

Job responsibilities:
1. Lead Month End Close process to ensure:
a. Timely and accurate cash and all other balance sheet account reconciliations
b. Proper recording of PnL items - correct account, class and department allocation
c. Review Inventory and Purchases transactions for accuracy
d. Review and manage Fixed Assets schedule, amortization, depreciation, etc.
c. Review AP and AR for timely payments and collection
2. Lead the team in day to day tasks including:
a. Bill posting and payment review
b. Accounts Receivable review for collection and payment application
c. Weekly management reporting (cash flow forecast, management scorecard)
d. Vendor and customer set up, proper documentation
e. Inventory transactions processing (item receipts, fulfillments) - review for accurate GL impact
f. Borrowing and payments accuracy and proper GL recording
g. Track team tasks, progress and evaluate performance
3. Reporting package updates
a. Make necessary updates to reporting package
b. Ensure numbers between tabs tie out
c. Create PDF versions for review and submission
